Laundry Day!

Well, I finally got ALL of the ingredients to make my homemade laundry detergent....And I must admit...I love it...our clothes aren't heavy with soap and fabric softner residue anymore, and they trully smell clean (not flowery, foo foo - y)...lol. I simply add 1/2 cup of vinegar in place of my fabric softner, and Voila'..that's it! Clean, light, airy laundry ready to be hung out to dry in the sun!! were the highlight of the evening...lol...kids are funny..all of those rides and they had a blast with two white balloons!!

Carnival Time!

It finally stopped raining long enough to take the kids to the Carnival..and they loved it! I used Paint.net to play with a couple of these photos, and I think they look cute!

My Idea Of A Good Time...

Is a weekend fishing with friends on lake Texoma! Sterling and I on the boat heading out to striper heaven!!..lol This is Me (on the left) our guide Charlie, Doris and Sandy. We spent the weekend on the lake and had a blast!!! Got fish?....lol

Handy Helper

Yesterday Emily helped me disassemble, move and reassemble my sewing desk. Here she really is screwing the screw!! She did every single one, all on her own. Not bad for a 4 year old!! Today I think I'll have her fix the garbage disposal...lol!

Sick Chicken

Our Dear Speckles has been under the weather for the past 2 days, we think it's the heat. I have been giving her electrolytes by straw and we've let her sleep in the house for the past 2 nights so she could be cooler. Yes....we let one of our pet chickens sleep in the house! Speckles has great house manners, she roosts in our entryway on a half wall, and I simply set newspaper on the floor behind her rump, no big deal, no big mess! She is already acting like she feels better!

Future Farm Name

Yep...I know it sounds a little silly, but I think Cock~A~Doodle~Dew~Berry Farms is just the cutest...named after my two little dewberry lovin' kiddos! So, I have decided that it is to be the name of our someday (hopefully sooner than later) Farm! Specializing in heirloom fruits, vegetables and flowers, heritage breed livestock, happy kids, and of course there will have to be a rooster and LOTS of dewberries!!!!
